Kickoff: Noon EST

The Skinny: Robert Morris needs a win to shake off a two game losing streak and avoid a losing season.

RMU Hall of Famer Brian Cleary's X-Factor for Saturday
Can the Colonials defense rebound? The key to success for the Colonials since 1994 has been a tough D that would present the offense with gifts such as field possession or turnovers. The past two games for the Colonials have been tough on them with NEC-leeading Albany gaining 473 yards & last week with Bryant 410 yards.

I expect co-defensive coordinators Scott Farison and Scott Benzel to have their defense ready for the Pioneers passing attack on Saturday. Yes, there will be mistakes out there. Yes, sideline adjustments will have be made. But expect to see a more physical and determined Colonials defense out there on Saturday and that energy will help fuel the rest of the Colonials.

D.J. Myers Adapts Into Hard Hitting Safety
It's been a relatively seamless transition from Richards to Myers for Robert Morris. Myers has picked up information from both Richards and former free safety Mike Landers, as the Colonials use both safeties close to the line of scrimmage. Landers and Richards were third and fourth on the team in tackles last year. Myers is second on the team in tackles so far this year, behind fellow safety Cameron Chadwick.

"Both of them taught me a lot," Myers said of Richards and Landers. "(Mike) had a lot of techniques since he was undersized as well, and he avoided blocks to make tackles. So I've learned a lot from him, even when he's not here."

Quotable: Myers on Sacred Heart QB Tim Little
"We just have to key correctly. Last game we had a few mental lapses that led to some big plays. I think if we key correctly, we'll be okay," Myers said. "If he can read the defense before the play, he's a better quarterback obviously. So we want to mix things up in the secondary at least."
